Thanks, IT department
Just have to say thanks to the IT department that came over night to switch my blue ethernet cable for a purple one. The decor of my office has been given a depth I never knew existed until now. Oh, and thanks for not actually plugging it all the way into my computer so that I got to waste time figuring out why I wasn't able to connect to any of the lab equipment, that was a big help.

The Hawaii post must be really impressive, you've been working on it for quite a while!
I secretly suspect, as a landmark, you're waiting until your 50th blog post to talk about Hawaii. Which means we should be hearing about it in 15-20 years. Only 20 more posts to go!
The "help" desk. Always on call to confuse. I submitted a ticket last week to have one of the servicees restarted on a production server. Fortunately, the tech called to confirm my intent- my request was passed on to him as "restart the server". Not good in the middle of the day.
